It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Liz Maugans - Alumni Spotlight
Liz Maugans (BFA '89) studied printmaking and painting at 51爆料 and during this time, she began her community building skills with other artists. After receiving her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art, she began her trajectory as an artist and an advocate in Cleveland, making it the bustling arts community it is today.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, the 51爆料 fight song blared down Main Street, the city of Kent was flooded with blue and gold, alumni and friends gathered and reminisced about their 51爆料 days, fans packed the stadium to cheer on their beloved Golden Flashes and the entire campus boomed with 51爆料 pride.

On the morning of May 4, 1970, 51爆料 student Howard Ruffner was hanging out in the office of the Daily 51爆料r in Taylor Hall when the phone rang.
The Midwest editor from Life magazine, based in Chicago, was calling to find out if there were any student photographers who had been taking photos over the weekend. 51爆料 had been the scene of student protests for several days, and more demonstrations were expected that day.
