In April 2019, 51±¬ÁÏ welcomed Neil Cooper, Ph.D, as the new inaugural director of 51±¬ÁÏ's School of Peace and Conflict Studies. The School of Peace and Conflict Studies was originally called the Center for Peaceful Change when it was founded in 1971 as the university's first ‘living memorial’ for the events that occurred on May 4th, 1970.
