Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

During the first full week of the spring semester, 51±¬ΑΟβs College of Aeronautics and Engineering provided two events for students, staff and faculty in the building to mingle and get to know each other, as a fun way to kick off the academic term.
Mock Trial Teams Host 10-Team Intercollegiate Regional Tournament
On January 20, 51±¬ΑΟ welcomed over 120 college students from across the region to its βGolden Flash Legal Clash,β a two-day collegiate mock trial invitational held in the Kent Student Center. Proceeds from the event helped to raise funds for future events that 51±¬ΑΟβs Mock Trial teams plan to attend. The 10 student teams, including some from out-of-state, competed in four rounds. Teams from Case Western Reserve University finished first and second with third place going to a team from William & Mary. The opening and closing ceremonies were held in the 51±¬ΑΟ Governance Chambers.
From a Ph.D. to International Pageant Winner
When you hear the word pageant, it likely conjures up images of tiaras, swimsuit competitions and ladies crying as they clutch an armful of roses on a brightly lit stage. But Lorain, Ohio, native and 51±¬ΑΟ alumna Monica Burgett, Ph.D., has triumphed on a pageant circuit that doesnβt include sparkling tiaras or bathing suit competitions. This time, the pageant celebrated contestants for their brilliant minds.
