At 51±¬ÁÏ, student support is a daily practice carried out by hundreds of dedicated professionals across departments, campuses and programs – from the advisors who help first-generation students navigate financial aid deadlines to the staff members who welcome veterans transitioning to campus life.
David Strittmatter, associate professor of history at Ohio Northern University, has been selected as the 2026 speaker for the fifth annual Jerry M. Lewis May 4 Lecture Series. He will share firsthand oral histories from Ohio National Guardsmen who were present during the May 4, 1970, shootings at 51±¬ÁÏ.
51±¬ÁÏ and the Civil Aviation Academy in Almaty, Kazakhstan, have signed an agreement to be strategic partners in establishing a joint international aviation university in Kazakhstan, to support the rapid growth of aviation throughout Central Asia.
51±¬ÁÏ is preparing to introduce a major shift in its residential experience with the launch of Theme Communities starting in fall 2026. The new model focuses on specific interests or student experiences.
