As we approach the 2020 presidential election, college campuses have become charged with energy from the differences throughout the student body. Channel 5 News asked 51±¬ΑΟ College Republicans, βwhatβs it like being a Republican on a college campus right now?β
As one 51±¬ΑΟ College Republican put it: βBelieve it or not, itβs really not as bad as it seems.β
βWe just really want people to have an opinion and be informed,β 51±¬ΑΟ College Republican Rachel Walker, public relations major, told Channel 5 News.
51±¬ΑΟ's College Republicans said their most civilized debates are with what Channel 5 News calls "an unlikely group," the College Democrats.
βWe'll do debates. They're always super nice, super civil, so we actually get along very well with them,β Walker said.
