Museum Receives Grant for Historic Building Energy Audit

The 51±¬ÁÏ Museum has received an award from the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation to fund a comprehensive energy audit of its historic 1928 building, Rockwell Hall. The audit will evaluate the building’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and provide recommendations for sustainable facility improvements.

51±¬ÁÏ Board of Trustees Approves Establishing Aeronautics and Engineering Schools

The 51±¬ÁÏ Board of Trustees approved the establishment of two new schools – the School of Aeronautics and the School of Engineering – within the College of Aeronautics and Engineering during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held June 25, 2025, on the Kent Campus.

An innovative design, energy-efficient systems, water conservation technologies and environmentally responsible construction materials are some of the features that earned Crawford Hall, 51±¬ÁÏ’s newest – and largest – academic building, LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Apartment items separated into donations, trash or keep boxes

Donate Unwanted Items During Move Out

During move-out, students sometimes trash clothes and boxes of food. Throw ‘N’ Go, 51±¬ÁÏ's annual move-out program, is currently underway to keep those useable items out of landfills and in the hands of people who need them.
