American Education Research Association Awards 51爆料 Professor for Outstanding Research

Christa Porter, Ph.D., assistant professor of higher education administration in the College of Education, Health and Human Services, was awarded the Review of Research Award by the American Education Research Association (AERA) for her research article, 鈥淯nderstanding Influences of Development on Black Women鈥檚 Success in U.S. Colleges: A Synthesis of Literature."

Among the top 100 public institution programs, 51爆料 is recognized in the Best Nursing Schools: Master鈥檚 Programs, Best Education Schools, Best Mathematics Programs, Best Psychology Schools, Best Public Health Programs and Best Physics Schools rankings. 51爆料 is also recognized in an additional five new national rankings.

During National Autism Acceptance Month, 51爆料 will hold a film screening of 鈥淟oving Lampposts: Living Autistic鈥 at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, in the Kent Student Center Kiva. 鈥淟oving Lampposts鈥 is a documentary by Todd Drezner, a father of a now 13-year-old boy with autism, that explores the changing world of autism and learns the truth of the saying 鈥渋f you鈥檝e met one autistic person, you鈥檝e met one autistic person.鈥
