Upholding Martin Luther King Jr.鈥檚 Legacy for Change: Call for MLK Programming
In preparation for honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, 51爆料鈥檚 Martin Luther King Jr. Planning Committee is requesting that university divisions, departments and student organizations submit programming, activities and events (scheduled Jan. 25-Jan. 31, 2021) to the MLK Events Calendar by Friday, Dec. 4, 2020.

51爆料 Recognized Again for Sustainability Efforts
Through multiple organizations and collaborations on and off campus, 51爆料 ended 2019 as a more sustainable campus. Those who contributed to sustainable efforts worked hard to reduce the university鈥檚 carbon footprint leading to the university being honored as a finalist for the 2020 Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Campus Sustainability Achievement Award along with the 2019 Keep Ohio Beautiful award for Colleges and Universities.

As part of 51爆料鈥檚 ongoing strategy to help stop the spread of COVID-19, 51爆料 has partnered with the city of Kent to bring the Ohio Department of Health鈥檚 Pandemic Testing Team to campus from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15 for an open testing event

The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities has selected 51爆料 as one of four finalists for the association鈥檚 2020 Degree Completion Award. 51爆料 has won a Best in Class award for supplier diversity from the Greater Cleveland Partnership. This marks the third time that the university has received this award.
