Incoming and existing military-connected 51爆料 students were welcomed to campus with open arms at the Veterans and Service Members Open House hosted by the Center for Adult and Veteran Services (CAVS). The event aimed to bring the military community - from student to spouse to staff member - together with food, refreshments and conversation.

Social Justice Quilting Project

Social Justice Quilting Project With 51爆料 to Benefit the King Kennedy Community Center

In August 2021, 1,000 incoming 51爆料 students, faculty and staff began a collaborative community effort to implement a social justice quilting project. This initiative stemmed from the Community Engaged Learning department's welcome week and was completed in late August 2022. The mission was to create something by 51爆料 students that could be sold or auctioned off to raise money for improvements to the gymnasium at the King Kennedy Community Center.
