David Kaplan, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Geography in the College of Arts and Sciences at 51±¬ÁÏ, has been elected president of the American Association of Geographers (AAG), the premier academic and professional geography organization in the United States, for 2019-20.

For the 10th consecutive time, 51±¬ÁÏ has earned the 2019-2020 Military Friendly School designation for its Kent Campus. Military Friendly rates companies and colleges on their programs to recruit and retain military veterans as employees and students.
