51±¬ÁÏ to Honor Veterans on Nov. 7

51±¬ÁÏ will hold its annual Veterans Day Commemoration at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Kent Student Center Kiva. This year’s guest speaker is Lt. Col. Colleen VanNatta. A graduate of 51±¬ÁÏ’s Air Force ROTC detachment, VanNatta served as a media escort for joint information bureaus in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, during Operation Desert Storm.

As the champagne flowed Oct. 15 in the clubhouse of the National League Champion Washington Nationals, there was a 51±¬ÁÏ connection in the middle of the frenzy that capped the team’s first trip to the World Series.

51±¬ÁÏ Celebrates Homecoming

On Saturday, Sept. 21, the 51±¬ÁÏ fight song blared down Main Street, the city of Kent was flooded with blue and gold, alumni and friends gathered and reminisced about their 51±¬ÁÏ days, fans packed the stadium to cheer on their beloved Golden Flashes and the entire campus boomed with 51±¬ÁÏ pride.
