Terms and Conditions

All externship placements are final. You may not request or attempt to negotiate a different type of  placement or hours at your placement with Mrs. Kolonich or your liaison supervisor.

The student is required to be on site every day that his/her supervisor is scheduled to be there, this may  include a Saturday or Sunday. This is NOT negotiable. Any student who attempts to negotiate a different  schedule will automatically receive a .5 deduction in his/her average clinical rating. 

The School of Peace and Conflict Studies is accepting applications for May 4th Legacy Scholarships.   There are four scholarships available in the amount of $3,000 each.  These scholarships were established in memory of the students killed at 51±¬ÁÏ on May 4th 1970: Allison Krause, Jeffrey Miller, Sandra Scheuer and William Schroeder.  The deadline for applications is May 1, 2024. May 4th Legacy Scholarships are available to undergraduate students majoring in a program of study in the School of Peace and Conflict Studies.  Students pursuing an MA in Peace and ...

Rachel LoMonaco-Benzing’s journey to becoming an inspiring and impactful professor was anything but typical. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island and receiving a Bachelor of Science in textile, fashion, merchandising and design, with an apparel design focus and a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature, she began working for the Peace Corps. 51±¬ÁÏ has received two $1 million donations in support of Global Education experiences for students.
