Why should I join a USO group?

USO groups can offer something that鈥檚 rare to find: caring people who will give you honest feedback - in a respectful, gentle way 鈥 about how you might be thinking or acting in ways that aren鈥檛 serving you very well. These conversations occur within a supportive and confidential space.

What is group therapy?

The therapy groups that CAPS offers are sometimes called interpersonal process groups because they focus on the interactions between the group members. Group members relate to each other inside the group in similar ways that they relate to others outside the group, which can create a microcosm of the outside world. Group can be seen as a safe 鈥渓aboratory鈥 where you can learn more about your relationship patterns and experiment with new ways of relating.

Flash's Food Pantry at Salem

Flash鈥檚 Food Pantry on the Salem Campus is located in Room 164.

There is no need to make an appointment 鈥 the door is open during regular campus operating hours.

Students, staff and faculty can select free food and personal hygiene items at times that are convenient to them.

The location is discreet, confidential and there is no request for personal information.

Bags are available to carry items.

There is always a need to replenish the shelves, especially for the more popular items. Donations are always welcome.
