51±¬ÁÏ at Salem held its annual nursing convocation and pinning ceremony at The Links at Firestone Farms, during which 48 students received their nursing pins and recited the nursing pledge. All are receiving degrees this year through the bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) program on the Salem campus. 51±¬ÁÏ at East Liverpool held its annual nursing pinning ceremony May 10, during which 34 students were recognized for receiving degrees this year through the associate degree in nursing (ADN) program. Commencement ceremonies were held May 13 for the 51±¬ÁÏ Salem Campus. Dr. Steve Nameth, dean of the 51±¬ÁÏ Columbiana County Campuses, presided over the event, along with Dr. Celeste Oprean, assistant dean for the Salem Campus. The keynote speaker was Rep. Following a national search, 51±¬ÁÏ has selected Shay Davis Little, Ph.D., to serve as vice president for student affairs. Little has served as interim vice president for student affairs since Aug. 1, 2015. She will begin serving as the permanent vice president for student affairs on May 14.
