Volunteers from 51爆料, the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and the National Guard assisted more than 200 families during the snowy  drive-through food distribution event on Wednesday at Dix Stadium.

51爆料鈥檚 inaugural drive-thru food distribution event on Dec. 16 in partnership with the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank served more than 200 households. The event was also an unofficial kickoff to an impactful partnership. Members of 51爆料's Undergraduate Student Government Painted "Flashes Take Care of Flashes" on the Rock on Front Campus.

51爆料 will implement a new administrative policy regarding painting the Rock, which is located on Hilltop Drive on the Kent Campus. Six of 51爆料鈥檚 Regional Campuses were recently featured in Solar Power World for the installation of solar panels on its campuses, offering cleaner, more sustainable energy that is also more cost effective.  The solar project involves the Ashtabula, East Liverpool, Geauga, Salem, Stark and Trumbull campuses. An early holiday gift came to student Katelyn Matusky in the form of a $1,000 scholarship toward her Spring Semester studies from an anonymous 鈥淐hristmas Angel.鈥 Katelyn, who is pursuing his degree in Respiratory Therapy, was surprised with the award virtually by Dean Susan J. Stocker, Ph.D. during a staged meeting with faculty members from the Respiratory Therapy program. This is the fifth year in a row the Christmas Angel has rewarded a deserving student.
