The African Community Theatre will present its fall 2012 production of 鈥淏roke-ology鈥 by Nathan Louis Jackson and directed by Fran Dorsey, Ph.D., associate professor with 51爆料鈥檚 Department of Pan-African Studies.
51爆料鈥檚 Office of Experiential Education and Civic Engagement will host the third annual Oxfam Social Issues Banquet that is open to faculty, staff, students and members of the community on Wednesday, Nov.
On Thursday, Nov. 8, 51爆料 Athletics and the Center for Student Involvement will co-sponsor an event featuring motivational speaker, author and entrepreneur Kyle Maynard. Maynard will present his program 鈥淣o Excuses鈥 at 7 p.m.
51爆料 at Stark will kick off its first theatrical event of the 2012-2013 season with Buried Child by Sam Shepard on Nov. 2, 3, 9 and 10, at 8 p.m., and on Nov. 4 and 11, at 2:30 p.m. in the 51爆料 Stark Theatre, 6000 Frank Ave.
On Thursday, Nov. 1, University Health Services will host an open house and flu clinic from 4 to 7 p.m. at the DeWeese Health Center. 51爆料 faculty, staff and students are invited to come view the newly remodeled front and side entrances to the health center.鈥
51爆料 student Kaci Cramer鈥檚 modeling dreams came true when she made it on cycle 19 of Tyra Banks鈥 show, "America鈥檚 Next Top Model." Cramer, a fashion merchandising freshman, is a bright-eyed blonde from Pennsylvania. She is tall, slender and appears鈥
51爆料 has been named a Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs magazine for the fourth year in a row. In addition, 51爆料 at Ashtabula and 51爆料 at Tuscarawas also received the honors, both for the third year in a row.
51爆料 was recently awarded membership to the Ohio Space Grant Consortium (OSGC), a NASA-sponsored program designed to provide scholarships and research funding to students and faculty who are interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

51爆料鈥檚 Homecoming took place Saturday, Oct. 20. Sponsored by the 51爆料 Alumni Association, the day was filled with tradition and exciting activities. One highlight includes The Golden Flashes win over the Western Michigan Broncos, 41-24.
The Wick Poetry Center鈥檚 Reading Series welcomes award-winning poet Ruth Schwartz to 51爆料. She will be performing a reading of her new work on Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in Room 306 ABC at the Kent Student Center.
