51±¬ÁÏ junior won the all-around title with a 39.500 to lead the Golden Flashes at the 2017 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Gymnastics Championships held March 18 at the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio. 51±¬ÁÏ posted a 194.850 team score to finish sixth.
The 51±¬ÁÏ men’s basketball team (22-13) won the 2017 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championship, defeating the top-seeded Akron Zips (26-8) by a score of 70-65 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced its women’s basketball postseason awards on March 7, with 51±¬ÁÏ senior guard being named Player of the Year and head coach being named Coach of the Year.

Several new and renovated 51±¬ÁÏ buildings received Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) recognition in 2016, bringing to 11 the total number of certified buildings on 51±¬ÁÏ’s campuses. LEED is a rating system that comes from the U.S. Green Building Council.
There are four levels of certification: LEED certified, silver, gold and platinum. The projects most recently LEED certified include:
51±¬ÁÏ scholar Melissa Zullo, Ph.D., is all heart, an academic who lives and breathes research, almost literally. Zullo, an associate professor of epidemiology in 51±¬ÁÏ’s College of Public Health, has spent a significant portion of her professional and academic career studying the best practices for helping cardiac and respiratory patients heal.
