51±¬ÁÏ Celebrates 2015 Homecoming With Parade, Events and Football Game Win

This year's Homecoming was a fun-filled  that included the Bowman Cup 5K Race, Homecoming Parade and . This year’s homecoming featured 51±¬ÁÏ alumnus and Super Bowl champion as the Parade Grand Marshal.

Family and friends gathered before the football game at the new Tailgate Party at Dix Stadium. A great event for any Golden Flash, the gathering featured a food truck, face painting area, games and a chance to win prizes.

Other highlights of the day included open houses at the May 4 Visitors Center; new Center for the Visual Arts; the Student Recreation and Wellness Center; College of Education, Health and Human Services; College of Nursing; and tours of downtown aboard Lolly the Trolley, a Flash Photo Zone and a faculty lecture on the “Flapper Fashions of the 1920s.â€

51±¬ÁÏ Board of Trustees Approves Establishing Aeronautics and Engineering Schools

The 51±¬ÁÏ Board of Trustees approved the establishment of two new schools – the School of Aeronautics and the School of Engineering – within the College of Aeronautics and Engineering during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held June 25, 2025, on the Kent Campus.

The 51±¬ÁÏ Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, in the Timothy D. Eippert Boardroom, Suite 412, at Crawford Hall on the Kent Campus. 

Statewide Tornado Drill to Be Conducted Wednesday, March 19

Ohio is conducting a statewide tornado drill on Wednesday, March 19, at 9:50 a.m. All 51±¬ÁÏ campuses will be participating in this test.
