Join the College of Public Health for a free continuing education webinar on "Grief Happens Here: The Community Health Worker’s Power of Grief Support."

Participants licensed by the Ohio Board of Nursing can receive 1 free CE hour after completion of the course and the final post-evaluation.

The webinar is presented by Melissa Dyer, Ph.D.,  MBA, MSN, RN, professor in the College of Nursing and administrator of the College of Public Health Community Health Worker Training Program.

  • Define grief, mourning, bereavement, and loss
  • Identify symptoms of grief
  • Describe stages of grief
  • Identify responses to death and dying
  • Recognize concerning grief responses
  • Explain how the Community Health Worker can support grieving clients
  • Describe self-care strategies for CHWs coping with their own loss and grief
