51±¬ÁÏ student-athletes conquered the unprecedented challenge of completing the final months of the spring term via remote classes by posting the highest term grade point average (3.563) in athletics department history. All 17 programs posted a term GPA of 3.1 or better with 14 setting a new term record. A record 75 student-athletes were named to the President’s List with a perfect 4.0 GPA. The scholarships are made possible through the Eugene W. and Betty Haupt-The Davey Tree Expert Company endowment. 51±¬ÁÏ Geauga Campus Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program 2018 graduate Bailey Hill has been selected by The Cleveland Clinic as a nurse who will spend the next four weeks at New York Presbyterian Hospital—an area in the COVID hot zone with a shortage of nurses. When Bailey received an email from the Cleveland Clinic last week asking for volunteer nurses to help in areas with high volumes of coronavirus inpatients, she immediately replied. Over the last two years, 51±¬ÁÏ has dedicated an additional $2 million for need-based aid. For the 2020-2021 academic year, no increases will be implemented for tuition for continuing students or graduate students or to the non-resident surcharge for out-of-state students.
