Pieces from the Pride In Kent exhibition at the FJKluth Art Gallery

The 鈥淧ride in Kent'' exhibition, at the FJKluth Art Gallery, displays 26 pieces of art created by 11 different LGBTQ+ members and allies. The exhibition will be on display during Main Street Kent鈥檚 Rainbow Weekend, Oct. 7 and 8. The gallery was asked by Main Street Kent to create an exhibition in celebration of LGBTQ+ pride. Title IX Celebrates 50 Years

As a member of the 51爆料 Field Hockey team in the early 1980s. Patrice Salmeri remembers the impact Title IX made on her and her teammates. "Title IX opened up a whole new world for me," Salmeri recalled. "So many 'No's' turned to 'Yes's. So many more opportunities to play sports. Title IX not only changed my life, but literally saved my life."
