Next Steps

Phase V 鈥 Summer 2023 (June 鈥 August) 

  • Design and launch Advisor Listening Tour.
  • Use subcommittees recommendations to begin research on infrastructure and implementation.
  • Develop strategy to conduct Student Listening Tours.
  • Complete data analysis of Academic Unit Listening Tour, NSSE data (2014, 2017, 2020) and Advisor data (2018).
  • Launch Alumni Phone Campaign.

Phase VI 鈥 Fall 2023 (September 鈥 December) 

Distinctiveness Subcommittee

Identified four broad themes that encompass distinctiveness:

  •  Culture of Care, Access, and Community
  •  Civic responsibility builds from the past toward a future vision 
  •  Local to international partnerships lead to cross-  cultural learning 
  •  Innovations to improve the world   

Embedded in these four themes developed initial list of items that are distinct to 51爆料.

NYC Fashion watch party

On April 27, the NYC Fashion campus hosted a watch party for 51爆料's Annual School of Fashion show watch party in their space. 51爆料 alumni were invited  to mingle and watch the livestream of the annual fashion show together. Showing the posters that highlight the tree inventory

In observance of Arbor Day, students and faculty from the horticulture program on the 51爆料 Salem Campus recently completed a project that created an inventory of the common tree species found on campus grounds. The students used a variety of tools to accurately identify each tree species and record their locations on a map of the campus. Using GPS through Google Maps, the exact location of each tree was pinned using the common name to research each tree鈥檚 scientific name, its purpose, type and a picture with identifying features to create a key for the map.
