University Housing is proud to announce a major step forward in its commitment to sustainability. In 2025, Tom Dietrich, Assistant Director of Residential Facilities, secured a $10,000 grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to support the installation of additional bottle filling stations across residence halls.
Each station can save up to 15,000 plastic bottles annually鈥攅quivalent to more than 300 pounds of waste diverted from landfills鈥攚hile also promoting student health and wellness. Responding to frequent requests from students for more filling stations, University Housing was thrilled to receive this grant, which, combined with additional housing funds, allowed for numerous new installations over the summer.
