Richard Feinberg, Department of Anthropology, Cathleen Pyrek (a recent 51爆料 master鈥檚 graduate), and Alexander Mawyer (University of Hawai'i at Manoa) guest-edited a special issue of Structure and Dynamics, an online open-access journal hosted by the University of California. The title of the special issue is 鈥淣avigation and Spatial Orientation in the Pacific Islands.鈥  It deals with the relationship between spatial cognition, culture and navigation, both on land and at sea.

The 51爆料 Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university鈥檚 13th president.

 

The events of May 4, 1970, placed 51爆料 in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 51爆料 remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
