HR Question of the Week: What is the date of this year’s Veterans Day recognition ceremony?

You are invited to attend and honor America’s veterans at this year’s Veterans Day program, “Honoring All Who Serve,” on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. on the Student Green at Risman Plaza.

The outdoor program will include a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from 51��’s Army and Air Force ROTC programs, remarks from 51�� President Beverly Warren and guest speakers. All are invited to join together to pay tribute to America’s veterans. A special invitation is extended to 51�� faculty, staff, students and community members who are veterans, active service members or who have family members in the military.

A reception in the Kent Student Center Kiva lobby will follow the brief program. In the event of inclement weather, the rain location will be the Kent Student Center Kiva.

Important Information and Next Steps

Thank you for being engaged this Open Enrollment season. Maybe you took a few minutes to just review your benefit plans or maybe there were important changes to make and you took the time and opportunity to do so. With that being said, we had over a 77% participation rate in Open Enrollment.

Over the next few weeks, the Benefits team will be finalizing the Open Enrollment process and completing tasks to ensure all updates are in place for a Jan. 1, 2026 effective date.
