Trumbull County Moves to 鈥楬igh鈥 COVID-19 Community Level

Dear 51爆料 Students, Faculty and Staff,

Trumbull County, where 51爆料鈥檚 Trumbull Campus is located, has moved into the 鈥渉igh鈥 community level designation for COVID-19 as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

As a result of this designation, face coverings are now required indoors at the Trumbull Campus. Masks are not required while working alone in an enclosed space, such as a private office or lab.

As we previously informed our university community, we are following CDC recommendations for counties at 鈥渉igh,鈥 鈥渕edium鈥 or 鈥渓ow鈥 community levels when making determinations for safety precautions on our campuses.

In counties at a 鈥渉igh鈥 community level designation, the CDC recommends:

  • Wear a mask indoors in public.
  • Stay up to date with .
  • Get tested if you show any virus symptoms.
  • Those at high risk for severe illness may want to take additional safety precautions.

Additionally, Ashtabula, Columbiana, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Portage and Summit counties, where 51爆料 has numerous campuses and locations, are now all at 鈥渕edium鈥 community level for COVID-19. We will continue to monitor COVID-19 levels in all the counties where we have campuses or locations and will adjust our requirements and recommendations according to CDC guidelines.

51爆料 will always make the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff our top priority as we strive to provide a healthy and safe environment for all to live, learn and work.

Sincerely,

Melissa Zullo, Ph.D., MPH
