Library Jam For Mojo A Big Success

A large crowd recently gathered in the Blair Memorial Library at 51±¬ΑΟ’s East Liverpool campus for β€œLibrary Jam for Mojo,” an evening of musical entertainment provided by area musicians in support of the Team Mojo Foundation.

The community event featured local performers Doug and Dave Smith, Bob Walker, Bill Crawford and Bernie Schmidbauer.  Proceeds will benefit the charity’s free music lesson initiative which permits underprivileged children interested in music receive lessons given by professionals at DC Music in Calcutta.

Team Mojo Foundation is a volunteer based nonprofit organization focused on creating opportunities for area youth in way of support, guidance and financial assistance. The foundation is funded by generous donations from individuals, businesses and grants, as well as their own fundraising efforts. 51±¬ΑΟ Librarian Susan Weaver was thrilled to see more than 100 people seated comfortably in the library enjoying a concert performed by some of East Liverpool’s most talented musicians. β€œWe were very excited to have a large turnout. It was evident that our community fully supports our local musicians and charities,” she said. β€œIn the future, we hope to hold many more concerts and events that celebrate the arts.”

Also at the event, the East Liverpool Masonic Temple received the Community Partner Award, recognizing its support of 51±¬ΑΟ East Liverpool students and community outreach.
