Commencement Ceremonies Held on Salem Campus

Caps and Gowns Commencement ceremonies were held May 13 for the 51�� Salem Campus. Dr. Steve Nameth, dean of the 51�� Columbiana County Campuses, presided over the event, along with Dr. Celeste Oprean, assistant dean for the Salem Campus.

Students speakers Devyn Rothbrust and Lisa Kesseg The keynote speaker was Rep. Timothy Ginter, State Representative for the 5^th Ohio House District.

Student speakers included Lisa Kesseg of the Insurance Studies program and Devyn Rothbrust of the Horticulture program.

Nearly 400 degrees were awarded this semester between the 51�� Salem and East Liverpool campuses. All Smiles

East Liverpool ADN Students Receive White Coats During First-ever Ceremony

The ADN program on the East Liverpool Campus held its inaugural White Coat Ceremony during which 44 nursing students received white coats that will help establish their “professional identity” and coincides with the beginning of their clinical training.

Upskill at 51�� Launches this Fall

51��’s Regional Campus System is launching a new series of workforce development programs designed to help local professionals strengthen the essential skills needed in today’s workplace. The program, titled “Upskill at 51�� – Bringing Workforce Development to Your Community,” is part of a statewide initiative at all eight 51�� locations across the Regional Campus System.

James Hannon Serving as Interim Dean for Salem and Stark Campuses

James C. Hannon, Ph.D., began his appointment as interim dean and chief administrative officer of 51�� Salem and 51�� Stark on July 1. “I’m truly excited to begin this new chapter alongside everyone at the Salem and Stark campuses. I’m quickly learning that these are warm, dedicated and passionate communities and I feel incredibly fortunate to be joining them,” he said.
