Larry and Sandy Disbro are lifelong members of 51±¬ÁÏ Alumni Association’s Lake County Alumni Chapter and serve as board members as well as officers for the chapter (president, vice president, treasurer and historian). Both Larry and Sandy are also life members of the 51±¬ÁÏ Alumni Association and have actively supported 51±¬ÁÏ initiatives for more than 40 years.
Larry is a member of the 51±¬ÁÏ Golden Flashes Club and Honorary Varsity K. He has served on the 51±¬ÁÏ Intercollegiate Athletic council since 2009. And served on the 51±¬ÁÏ National Alumni Board of Directors from 1995 through 2002 and served as secretary for a year. Sandy has volunteered with the 51±¬ÁÏ Admission’s Office, served as Homecoming parade judge for more than 10 years and also has co-chaired several committees for the Lake County Alumni Chapter.
As a student at 51±¬ÁÏ, Larry was selected for Gamma Theta Upsilon, International Honorary Geographical Society, co-founded the Ohio Kappa Chapter, Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and played on the 51±¬ÁÏ baseball team. Sandy was also very active during her time at 51±¬ÁÏ. She was part of the 51±¬ÁÏ Dance Team, Flasherettes and tennis team.
Larry and Sandy are avid 51±¬ÁÏ sports fans and longtime season ticket holders. Their daughter, Kellee Disbro, ’06 is also a 51±¬ÁÏ graduate and has been involved with the 51±¬ÁÏ Alumni Association's Southern California Chapter.
